Introduction
Paraformaldehyde is mainly used in the production and use of herbicides, but also in the production of synthetic resins (such as artificial horn products or artificial ivory) and adhesives. Melaldehyde is also used in the pharmaceutical industry (an active ingredient in contraceptive creams) and in the disinfection of pharmacies, clothes and bedding.
Paraformaldehyde can also be used as fumigation disinfectant, disinfectant and insecticide.
Application
Synthetic resin
- The low polymerization degree paraformaldehyde replaces the common industrial formaldehyde aqueous solution, in the synthesis pesticide, the synthetic resin, the paint and the fumigation disinfectant and so on many kinds of formaldehyde downstream product, not only can reduce the dehydration energy consumption, but also greatly reduces the waste water treatment quantity, is a benefit country and the people’s green environmental protection project.
Chemical synthesis
- The low polymerization degree paraformaldehyde because its effective ingredient is higher than the industrial formaldehyde, is the solid particle, is advantageous to the chemical synthesis and other industrial applications such as the chemical synthesis, the medicine and so on, especially to uses the anhydrous formaldehyde as the raw material request material synthesis, the use is widespread.
- It can also be used as disinfectant, fungicide, fumigant and herbicide, as well as in the manufacture of resin and artificial ivory.
Resinous binding material
- Paraformaldehyde can be used as a substitute of aqueous formaldehyde to produce the resinous binding material, which is commonly used together with melamine, phenol or other reactive agents in the manufacturing of particle board, medium density fiberboard and plywood.
